This movie has Katherine Heigl is in this movie. I think that about sums it up. This is
One for the Money!
I think it's fair to that most people don't like Katherine Heigl. I don't. I think she honestly si a bad actress. So, maybe I was a little bit bias going into this one. In this one, Heigl plays Stephanie Plum, a recently-laid off woman who takes a job as a bounty hunter (It happens). There, she get her first job, to catch Joe Morelli (
Terra Nova's Jason O'Mara), a former flame of her's. Hijinks ensue.
The movie is based on a book by author Janet Evanovich and unfortunately, that's really the only remarkable thing about this movie. Yet again, Heigl has put her hand in a completely run-of-the-mill "mystery" movie. Heigl puts up a particularly barely-there performance. Sometimes she puts on a awful Jersey accent, other times it miraculously disappears. The entire time she seem bored with the whole plot. Which is pretty understandable.

She's "charming". |
The movie is boring. Nothing interesting happens. Ever. The central mystery of the movie seems like it's hardly been thought through. The villain come right out of left-field and pretty much every other character introduced falls into either a obvious angel or a horrible monster, making the whole story very obvious and predictable. It's also really annoying. The Jersey accents of the characters are all completely overblown and grate on your nerves
Again, sorry for the short review, but... there really isn't anything more to say.
One for the Money is as bland, predictable and annoying as any other Katherine Heigl movie. Nothing sets this one out from the crowd and is probably best forgotten.
One for the Money gets 2 stars out of 6.
