Pun With Trailers 2013: April 12 to April 19

Basically, new segment, talking about this week's trailers. This week, that isn't an S, the victors must die and Ryan Reynolds bites the dust!

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Trailer #1- Not bad. I'll admit that I was only a little bit impressed with the first film, and so far this new trailer is really that impressive. I like how it focuses on the rebellion and not the surprise twist that happens with this film's Hunger Games. It's hinted at in the end, but not spoiled. For a movie that knows that a good part of it's audience already knows what happens, that's a fairly strong move. Other than that, I like that it's cut down on the shaky cam, but overall, a little too little is revealed to really get me excited. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is released on November 22, 2013.

Star Trek Into Darkness Trailer #Eleventy-Billion- Really? Another trailer for this one. Still, this is the best one so far. The rest have all been too secretive. This one at least gives us a hint of the scale and emotion this entry will pack. Love the first one, looking forward to this one. Star Trek Into Darkness is released on May 17, 2013.

Man of Steel Trailer #3- Hell. Yes. This is how you trailer a movie. With this, Man of Steel jumps to the top of my list. Easily the film I'm most excited for now. I like Kevin Costner as Pa Kent, Amy Adams as Lois works. She and Henry Cavill have a good chemistry. Also, it's cool that we actually get to hear Cavill talk for the first time. The trailer is just perfect. Reveals the right amount (Superman's flying punch). Some secrets are set up (What was that weird tentacle monster?). Overall, super excited. Okay, I feel bad about that joke. Man of Steel is released on June 14, 2013.

The Lone Ranger Trailer #3- Egh. You think they'd eventually be able to make a good trailer for this movie. Seriously, no other summer movie so far has looked this poor as this one does (And that includes The Smurfs 2!). The action looks boring (And almost exclusively on trains. Because Old West!) None of the characters look to be more that just action hero, bad guy and native american stereotypes. But we do get some of the story! He's avenging his brother's death. How original. The Lone Ranger is released on July 3, 2013.

R.I.P.D. Trailer #1- Yes, it is pretty much Men in Black meets Ghostbusters. And, sorry, no you aren't clever for saying it is. I like the premise, after all, it's different enough from Men in Black is justify it's existence. Overall, solid first trailer. Ryan Reynolds seems to curse comic book movie into awfulness though. Could this fourth time be the charm? Other than that, Jeff Bridges looks awesome in it, but he looks awesome in everything. "I don't know what I's to shoot you between!" is a great line and I'm into this movie. For now. R.I.P.D. is released on July 19, 2013.

The Internship Trailer #2- Really? We still feel like releasing this is a good idea.If Google is all about innovating, then why are they helping making a cliched buddy comedy that has been made at least three times each year. Still not funny and even a little bit embarrassing. This movie's about old can still be new, but the younger actors are already getting way more laughs and doing way better jobs that Wilson and Vaughn. Not only is it not funny. It's a little bit sad. The Internship is released on June 7, 2013.
