Top 10 Best of 2011 Amendment #3: 50/50

As the Academy Awards slowly sneak up on us, I continue to take a look at the award winners of 2011 and add some of them to my Top 10 Best list. So far, I've added Drive and Midnight in Paris, which unfortunately falls off the list today, due to another movie getting added to the list. That movie is 50/50.

Directed to perfection by Jonathan Levine, 50/50 is easily the feel-good movie of 2011 and also one of the funniest. Joesph Gordon-Levitt knocks it out of the park, Seth Rogan is great, Anna Kendrick is steadily rising to be one of my favorite actresses out there. When the movie isn't being funny, it's giving us a heartfelt and honest look at life with Cancer. There are so many great moments that pack in a lot of emotion. I even teared up two or three times in this movie, the only movie to do that since Toy Story 3, which was a favorite movie of last year. If you haven't yet seen 50/50, fix that. It's a great movie and very deserving of the Number 3 slot on my Top 10 Best of 2011 list.

Current Top 10 Best List:
1. Rise of the Planet of the Apes
2. Kung Fu Panda 2
3. 50/50
4. Warrior
5. Drive
6. Captain America: The First Avenger
7. Super 8
8. Crazy, Stupid, Love
9. The Muppets
10. Paul
